Under powers granted by the Government to the London 2012 organisers, people will not be permitted to take flasks, thermoses and larger quantities of food with them to Olympic venues. They are included in a 'non-exhaustive' list of banned and restricted items in the terms and conditions of booking Olympic tickets that went on sale this week. All bags will be scanned by x-ray machines as part of security."
