Taslima Hounded

Taslima Hounded In November, the Centre said that Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen would continue to get shelter in the country but that she should refrain from activities that “hurt sentiments of the people” here. The statement came in the wake of a shameful episode of the writer being hounded out of West Bengal (over some objectionable passages in her book Dwikhandito) where the CPI-M Govt did a flip-flop on whether she could stay in India. She had also been attacked in Hyderabad by a group of Muslim activists earlier
